It's funny being inside, innit? Cause when you are inside, you're still actually outside, aren't ya? And then you can say, when you're outside, you're inside, because you're always inside your head.
The quote is taken from the 1993 movie "Naked" but I first heard the thick accented line from the No Use For A Name track "On The Outside". As we enter into another Government enforced lockdown here in Victoria, I can't help but try and go outside, even though I'm inside "innit?".
It is hard to re use the "other people have it worse than us" line again, especially with the kids. Poor buggers have missed so much crucial interaction with their peers. Screen time increased, pressure increased, the kids reality is changing and without a clear message from the ones at the top. No moral characters in politics, just coward narcissists.
For Goes To Sea, we have run out of the 236 blanks and don't know when we will get a re up. We will do our best to get our hands on the double stringers, but we understand this is a crazy time for everyone. We will use this time focus on the next 2 shapes.
Without going into too much detail, we want to focus on a shape for a bombie down our way that is a decent paddle, but has a big reward for those who commit. Followed by a versatile shortboard for rip bowl beachies.
Without trying to sound cliche, be kind to yourselves, be kind to others, do whatever it is you need to do to get through, turn the TV off, make love and it wont be long until
"i'll see you on the outside".
RIP Tony Sly.
